i proudly announce that i am home. home as in actual home in Miri, Sarawak. it felt so good being at home. the best thing is home cooked food. (this is best bro!) but then no doubt i am so going to miss the life i had in KK, with the best friends i can have for 3 years. some of which i only get to know better only towards the end of my study there. alvin, sharon, cass and nurul - you guys are in my secret society! haha! we had fun right? helluva fun!
most of my stuff is still unpacked. which means i have a lot to do tomorrow - unpacking and repacking for my 10weeks internship in Shah Alam. my room is in a mess. turns out that my family decided to convert it into a mini store-room. sigh. and the other room is full with my brother's stuff. dont care anyways. i'll be leaving for kL in two days time. and if, "IF" i do land a job in the Peninsular anytime soon, i WILL grab the opportunity and officially move out of my house. so there is no need to renovate my room since i wont be around that much anymore. so that's settled.
we went out for dinner tonight. i just had the best Laksa Sarawak available in Miri. fuuh. sampai meleleh hingus! Mee kolok comes second. but the best is mom's ikan masak asam pedas! pergh!
and so, on our way home from town, daddy was driving and talking about some politics while i can see from the rearview mirror mom is fast falling asleep when suddenly dad swerved the car to the side of the road. my brother and i got panicked for a while until we realised what was going on. turns out that dad was avoiding running over a tortoise on his way crossing the road. nasib baik tak langgar. so we turn the car around, dad stopped the car and he told me to take the tortoise. i stupidly ran out of the carm grab the tortoise and place him by the road side. only to be scolded by my dad upon returning to the car. he wanted me to take the tortoise home. aalalalalala! haha! so i ran out and grab him and ran back to the car. we turned the light on to get a better look at him. there is a small open wound on the right side of his shell. must have been hit by a moving vehicle. poor thing. i tried to dab the blood with a tissue. after a while the bleeding stopped.
a moment ago dad placed him in a bucket of water. his skin is dry so we hope the water can help him cool down for a bit before dad bathe him properly tomorrow morning. we havent decide on a name yet, but most probably dad will name him Friday. :)
i have other intentions for him though.
as soon as i come home from my convocation in october, i'm going to let him go.
